NABCEP PV Installer Certification
A growing number of incentive programs sponsored by state and local jurisdictions and utility company require that systems be installed by NABCEP certified PV Installers.
Certification requires a combination of training, field experience and a passing score on the NABCEP Solar PV Installer Certification exam.
Training
Requirements vary depending upon your educational background and professional experience. For most people, 40 hours of solar training is required.ONTILITY offers courses which satisfy the 40 hr. requirement:

Field Experience

NABCEP PV Technical Sales Certification
The newest NABCEP certification was announced in 2010 and provides an industry-recognized credential for solar professionals who are not directly involved in the installation of PV systems.
Certification requires a combination of training, field experience and a passing score on the NABCEP Solar PV Technical Sales Certification exam.
