HOUSTON, TEXAS (July 6, 2010) - ONTILITY has joined an elite group of organizations qualified to certify new homes to receive the WaterSense label. ONTILITY is also helping train inspectors nationally as an approved WaterSense Training Provider. Sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), WaterSense labels and recognizes single-family new homes that use 20 percent less water than traditional models inside and out.

Builders looking to offer new homes with the WaterSense label can contact ONTILITY to independently inspect their homes and certify that they meet the WaterSense criteria for efficiency, conservation and performance. WaterSense labeled and certified homes will help home buyers identify new homes that will use less energy and save water for future generations.

All new homes must be inspected and certified before they can earn the WaterSense label. ONTILITY completed a required EPA certification training in order to work with inspectors and students to provide quality assurance that homes are certified to meet WaterSense criteria.

ONTILITY is currently offering WaterSense Inspector Training Courses for those interested in expanding their services to include a WaterSense Inspections. Upcoming 2010 training classes are scheduled for July 7 – 8, September 8 – 9 and November 10 - 11. These classes will be in Houston, TX and the cost for the two day certification course is $995. The classes are from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
