Ground-Mounted PV Systems

If your building location or facility has spare land, it can be an ideal location for a solar power system. ONTILITY has experience designing and installing systems which maximize the land's potential as well as the project owner's energy requirements and goals.

ONTILITY's Ground-Mounted System options include:

• Fixed tilt PV systems – The solar modules face south, tilted at an angle which optimizes the annual energy output for the site latitude and climate.
• Single-axis tracking PV systems – The support structure moves using an electric or hydraulic actuator, enabling the solar modules to follow the sun from east to west each day. These systems can be flat, such that the modules are horizontal at noon, or tilted such that the modules face south at noon.
• Dual-axis tracking PV systems – The support structure moves both east-west and north-south, enabling the solar modules to follow the sun as it passes overhead each day, remaining perpendicular to it. These systems can be mounted on poles or on larger turntables.
• Concrete foundation mounted PV systems – The solar material is mounted directly on a concrete foundation or pad. These systems can be integrated into the foundation or pad or use a ballasted, non-penetrating, mounting system.
• Membrane mounted PV systems – The solar material is mounted directly to a flexible membrane surface. These systems are typically used over landfills.
