Executive Vice President – Lead Solar Consultant

Janet is ONTILITY's Lead Solar Consultant and Subject Matter Expert, and teaches many of ONTILITY's advanced solar training courses. She is a community leader, businesswoman, educator and consultant and a pioneer in the solar Industry. Janet’s career spans more than 30 years of electrical and business experience. She is a licensed Master Electrician and has trained solar energy installers for electrical and solar contracting companies since 1997. Janet has extensive experience designing and installing hundreds of residential and commercial solar projects from 1kW to MW scale. Prior to joining ONTILITY, Janet was a principal in ADVEN – Advanced Energy Strategies and owned an electrical and solar contracting company for 16 years. Janet is an Institute for Sustainable Power Quality (ISPQ) Master Trainer, and holds a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Janet’s professional affiliations include the Dept. of Energy Solar Instructor Training Network, American Solar Energy Society (ASES), Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA), North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), Interstate Renewable Energy Commission (IREC), Texas Renewable Energy Education Consortium (REEC) and Youth Build USA.
